Join Reinhardt Basketball For Cancer Awareness Games on Saturday
By Mike DeVader, Reinhardt Director of Athletic Communications & Media
WALESKA, Ga. – Reinhardt Athletics and its men's and women's basketball teams would like to invite you to join the fight against cancer during Saturday's doubleheader against Milligan (Tenn.).
The Eagles and Buffaloes are set to square off on the hardwood tomorrow at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. inside the Brown Athletic Center.
Fans are encouraged to show their support by wearing pink or purple to the games – purple is in recognition of cancer and pink is for the fight against breast cancer.
Following the completion of the women's game, a special guest speaker will address the crowd.
Reinhardt will hand out pink and purple glow sticks at the end of the third quarter of the women's game, and then the lights will go off for a prayer between contests as the pink and purple glow sticks light up the gym for those whose families have dealt with the terrible disease.
The men's matchup will follow after a 30-minute warmup period.
