COLUMBUS, Ga. – For the first time all season, Reinhardt softball dropped back-to-back outings after a pair of defeats Saturday in the NFCA Classic at the hands of Lawrence Tech (Mich.) (2-0) and Southeastern (Fla.) (6-3) in Columbus.
The losses knock the Eagles to 12-5 in 2020, and it was the first time the hometown team lost any games in a neutral setting in seven contests.
"We weren't willing to make adjustments against a pretty good Lawrence Tech pitcher and we made some young errors against Southeastern," head coach Jade Geuther said. Both are things we haven't seen this year. Ups and downs are part of every season and we've had a lot of ups so far; and here is our first down. We'll see what kind of team we are when we see our response tomorrow."
Additions to the story and further analysis will be added once official stats are accumulated from the event.
The event wraps up tomorrow with a single game against Thomas More (Ky.) at 9 a.m.
