Reinhardt Dominant on the Mats Again in Four-Win Day in Tennessee
By Mike DeVader, Reinhardt Director of Athletic Communications & Media
PIDGEON FORGE, Tenn. – The wins kept rolling in for Reinhardt wrestling all day on Friday in Tennessee, as the No. 2-ranked Eagles improved to 10-1 on the season with a foursome of triumphs in the Smokey Mountain Duals over Jamestown (N.D.) (39-9), Cumberland (Tenn.) (29-10), Keiser (Fla.) (41-6) and Lyon (Ark.) (48-6).
"I thought we wrestled pretty good today, and conditioning played a major factor in a lot of matches," head coach Jeff Bedard said. "I think our guys are starting to realize how important it is; we had a really good first semester and it's something to build off going into the important part of the schedule next semester. We have a few holes in the lineup that will be addressed and fixed before the National Duals in January.
"Coaches Matt Moley and JR Virnich have done a great job, and as a staff, we need to keep pushing our guys to another level. Hopefully, during this break we get a few guys healthy and the guys continue to work hard while they're at home. When we get back from Christmas break, we jump right into the National Duals and we need to be clicking on all cylinders. The bar is set high and there can't be any loss of focus… We are proud of our guys and excited for the second half of our season."
