Week 3: AAC Men's Volleyball Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Rodolfo Biegelmeyer of Reinhardt is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Alex Sanchez of Reinhardt and Matheus Ferreira-Collares of Warner are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the second edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 20.

AAC Attacker of the Week
Rodolfo Biegelmeyer - Reinhardt - Freshman - Farroupilha, Brazil

• Helped Reinhardt to a 3-0 record.
• Averaged 4.73 kills per set and posted a .233 hitting percentage on the week.
• Posted 26 kills in a 3-1 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio).
• Had 52 kills, 22 digs, 7 service aces, and 5 blocks.
• This is his second weekly honor of the season.

AAC Defender of the Week
Alex Sanchez - Reinhardt - Freshman - Palma de Mallorca, Spain

• Averaged 3.91 digs per set.
• Logged 23 digs in a 3-1 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio).
• Had 13 digs in a 3-1 win over Life.
• Also had 11 assists and 2 service aces.
• This is his second weekly honor of the season.

AAC Setter of the Week
Bruno Dewes - Reinhardt - Sophomore - Caxias do Sul, Brazil

• Averaged 12.00 assists per game in helping Reinhardt to a 3-0 record on the week.
• Posted 132 assists on the week.
• Logged 58 assists in a 3-1 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio).
• Had 20 digs, 3 kills, 1 service ace, and 7 blocks on the week.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.
