By Mike DeVader, Reinhardt Director of Athletic Communications & Media
WALESKA, Ga. – A brief step out of league play resulted in a high-quality opponent – No. 10 Aquinas (Mich.) – visiting the Brown Athletic Center to take on men's volleyball in a non-conference bout.
The Saints proved themselves to be as-advertised after they took out the Eagles in straight sets, 12-25,16-25,22-25.
"It was a great opportunity for us to host Aquinas tonight," head coach CJ Shearer said. "They are a top team in the country for a reason; strong coaching, mentality and focus-to-skill are among the few things that stood out. Our guys showed in moments they can press and give teams like this a challenge, which is something I'm hoping continues to grow on them. We will continue to talk about being great within the team whistle to whistle and look for more ways to improve. To God goes all the Glory."
No. 10 Aquinas 3, Reinhardt 0
