ROYSTON, Ga. – The Lions of NCAA Division II Emmanuel (Ga.) notched another tally in the winner's column after defeating men's volleyball in four sets, 3-1 (14-25,19-25,25-17,17-25), Thursday night inside the Shaw Athletic Center.
Errors were the name of the match for the hometown squad, as the Eagles combined for 24 miscues – with only three of them coming in set three – where they hit a combined .391 with 12 kills to win by eight.
The highest hitting percentage in the remaining three games for Reinhardt was just .167.
Individually, both Chase Cross and Matthew Corrales notched a dozen scores against the Lions. Ricardo Mujica was all over the floor as the assist-man with 30 dimes – he also tied for team-high in digs with seven with two additional teammates.
Corrales added five defensive receptions and three assisted blocks.
The Eagles earned 11 overall blocks and hit .133 as a group.
Gerald Moore took advantage of his scoring opportunities with four kills in eight attempts (one error) for a .375 hitting percentage and three assisted rejections.
