Eagles Serve Up Sweep of AAC Tennis Honors

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Jordi Puig Molina and Sofia Guaglianone of Reinhardt are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's and Women's Tennis Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2020 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 16.
AAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Jordi Puig Molina - So. - Barcelona, Spain
- Picked up two wins last week over No. 9 William Woods (Mo.).
- Won 6-2 in the No. 2 doubles spot and 7-6 (5-0), 6-4 in the No. singles position.
- Helped Reinhardt to the 4-1 team win.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Sofia Guaglianone - Jr. - Buenos Aires, Argentina
- Went 3-0 record on the week against two nationally ranked teams.
- Earned a 7-6 (7-3) doubles win over No. 6 William Woods (Mo.) in the No. 3 spot.
- Picked up a 6-4 No. 3 double win and 6-0, 6-1 No. 6 singles win over No. 8 Brenau.
- This is her first weekly honor this season.

Week 2 - Jordi Puig Molina, Reinhardt (Men's); Sofia Guaglianone, Reinhardt (Women's)
The clubs will head to Union (Ky.) on Sunday for matchups beginning at 2 p.m.
