Late Score Lifts Reinhardt Over Covenant
It was a tight, defensive battle under the lights on Monday night, but Omar Dhrif's late goal was enough to lift the Reinhardt reserves over the Covenant College reserves by a score of 1-0.
"Very happy with the team's effort in tonight's match," reserve head coach Zack Schultze said. "Covenant has given us great matches for the past two years and tonight was no exception. I am very proud of how our boys played for 90 minutes."
The match was deadlocked for the majority of the eveing, with both sides seeing opportunities in front of the net. It wasn't until the 70th minute, however, that a great pass from Greg Morris found the feet of Dhrif, who was able to fire home the match winner past the Covenant goalkeeper's near post.
The Eagles were able to tighten down defensively for the rest of the match to secure a 1-0 victory and improve to 5-1 on the season.
