Reinhardt Reserves Shut Out United Futbol Academy
In a beautiful night under the lights at University Stadium at Ken White Field, the Reinhardt Eagle reserves earned a 2-0 shutout victory over United Futbol Academy (UFA).
The reserve Eagles improved to 3-1 on the season with the victory.
"Very happy with today's result," head coach Zack Schultze said. "UFA is one of the strongest youth clubs in the state and Coach Florea has done a terrific job with his boys. The character and passion they showed for 90 minutes should not be understated as it made for a terrific soccer match."
The matchup was led by veterans, as juniors Sean DuMond and Dima Lynes both found their way on the scoresheet. Junior goalkeeper Nick Schierle played a key role in the match's success as he managed some big saves at pivotal times in the match.
The reserve Eagles travel to Dayton, Tenn., next week as they look forward to a big match against Appalachian Athletic Conference rival Bryan at 6 p.m.
