Reinhardt Draws Bears in AAC Opener

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The 2019 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship bracket is set, and the Reinhardt Eagles are the No. 3 seed overall and will take on Truett-McConnell (Ga.) this Saturday inside Ken White Field at University Stadium.
Match time is set for 6 p.m. following the Homecoming football game against Cincinnati Christian (Ohio).
The hometown club (10-5-1) tied for second in the AAC, but lost to Bryan (Tenn.), 1-0, on the road on Oct. 9 – giving the Lions the second seed in the event.
The tournament is an eight-team, single-elimination and begins on Saturday, Nov. 2. All rounds will be played at the higher seed's home site.
Here are the tournament seeds:
- Tennessee Wesleyan (9-1-1 AAC, 14-2-2 overall)
- Bryan (Tenn.) (8-2-1 AAC, 8-5-2 overall)*
- Reinhardt (Ga.) (8-2-1 AAC, 10-5-1 overall)*
- Union (8-3-0 AAC, 9-8-1 overall)
- Montreat (N.C.) (7-3-1 AAC, 11-5-1 overall)
- Truett-McConnell (Ga.) (4-3-3 AAC, 5-7-4 overall)
- Milligan (Tenn.) (5-6-0 AAC, 6-10-0 overall)
- Columbia International (S.C.) (4-7-0 AAC, 5-7-0 overall)
*-Bryan is the No. 2 seed since it defeated Reinhardt 1-0 during the regular season.
Truett-McConnell plays St. Andrews on Tuesday, however, regardless of the outcome, Truett-McConnell is the No. 6 seed since it defeated Milligan during the regular season.
