NAIA Gives National Nod to Aaron Whitten

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fresh off a half-dozen goals and another Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) honor, Aaron Whitten of Reinhardt has been named the NAIA National Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the national office in Kansas City, Mo., announced Tuesday.
His efforts helped the Eagles to an 8-5-1 overall record (6-2-1 AAC) after claiming three-straight wins, most recently 8-1 over Kentucky Christian at home last Saturday.
Offensive Player of the Week
Aaron Whitten, Reinhardt (Ga.)
Jr., F, Locust Grove, Ga.
- Had six goals and one assist
- Scored four goals and an assist against Kentucky Christian
- Helped the Eagles go 2-0 on the week

Individually, Whitten ranks third in the NAIA in scoring with 19 made shots in 14 outings.
Columbia International (S.C.) is up next on the schedule in the final regular-season home game at Ken White Field at University Stadium at 7 p.m. tomorrow night.
