Golf Comes Back From South Carolina Looking For More

OKATIE S.C. – (Results) Twentieth-ranked Reinhardt hit the course once again in a star-studded field at the Sand Shark Invitational, hosted by USCB-Beaufort (S.C.), with the Eagles coming in seventh overall in the three-round event.
The hometown team finished with a cumulative total of 911 (+47) and was left looking up at a number of powerful squads, including tournament winner Point (Ga.) – 871 (+7).
Individually, Christopher Whitney paced the Reinhardt scorers with rounds of 73, 74 and 75 to finish in 13th-place at 6-over-par. Also in the top 20 was Hunter Clay, who earned a T19 after shooting an opening-round 77 and then rallying with a 76 and 73.
Seong Lee was next up for the Eagles in 33rd-place, and he was followed up by Jack Haller (T39) and Jake McWhorter, who came to the clubhouse in a tie for 46th.
Next up on the schedule is a trip to the Skyhawk Invitational which begins March 9.
