BRUNSWICK, Ga./ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Both Reinhardt golf teams got some out-of-season swings in the last two days in the 10th Annual Winter Invite, hosted by Coastal Georgia, at Brunswick Country Club and King and Prince Golf Course, respectively, on Monday and Tuesday in stacked fields.
The 20th-ranked men's squad moved up two spots on the last day – and shot the best team score out of 16 schools in the final round with a cumulative 1-over-par – to finish in fourth-place overall with a two-day total of 595 (+19).
The Eagles were guided on the leaderboard by Christopher Whitney, who flew up 19 spots for a T4 - All-Tournament Team - on Tuesday with a 5-under 67 on the Par-72, 6,821-yard course to finish 1-under-par for the tournament (76,67; 143).

Seong Lee also finished in the top 25 at plus-7 overall, and rounding out the top five finishers for Reinhardt were Jake McWhorter (31st; +9) and Brooks Gineris (T53; +16).
On the women's side, the Eagles placed 13th overall and were paced on the course by Katie Kauffman and her finish within the top 50 golfers. Lauren Welte wasn't far behind – as both players shot in the 80s each day – for a tie for 53rd.
That aforementioned duo was followed up by Meg McCord, Brooke Newsome and India Pilgram.
The men's group looks ahead to the USCB Sand Shark Invitational on March 2, while the women next tee it up on March 9 in the Skyhawk Invitational.
