AAC's Weekly Men's Basketball Award Goes to Wimberly

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Jalin Wimberly of Reinhardt is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the sixth edition of the weekly honor for the 2020-21 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Dec. 21.
Wimberly posted a career-high 32 points as the Eagles closed out the Buffaloes of Milligan (Tenn.), 94-89, to improve to 6-3 last week. He was just completely dominant by leading the team in points (32) to go along with 8 rebounds, 6 steals and 5 assists.
The junior was also 9-for-10 from the line in the win.
AAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Jalin Wimberly - Jr. - Leesburg, Ga.
- Scored a career-high 32 points in a 94-89 win over Milligan.
- Hit 10-of-19 shots (52.6 percent) from the field and was 3-for-7 from 3-point range.
- Went 9-for-10 from the free-throw line.
- Also had 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals.
- This is his first weekly honor this season, but he is the second Eagle to claim the award this year.

The final AAC game of the fall semester is tomorrow night at 5 p.m. at home against the Rams of Columbia International (S.C.).
