Strong Outing at The Show Propels Lampkin to AAC Player of the Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – After helping pace the Eagles' offensive attack in Tennessee at the Show at MeadowView with an average of 20 points and 4.5 rebounds against Bluefield (Va.) and IU-East (Ind.), DJ Lampkin of Reinhardt was picked as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
The junior also added three assists and a pair of steals while shooting 13-for-27 (4 treys) and 10-for-11 from the line.
This is the fourth edition of the weekly honors for the 2020-21 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Dec. 7.
AAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
DJ Lampkin - Jr. - Brunswick, Ga.
- Averaged 20.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as Reinhardt went 1-1 on the week.
- Netted 22 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in an 84-69 win over Bluefield.
- Shot 10-of-11 from foul line on the week.
- Hit 48.1 percent (13-of-27) from the field.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
The AAC road opener is tomorrow evening at Tennessee Wesleyan at 6 p.m.
