St. Thomas Beats Reinhardt in First Ever Home Event
Waleska, GA – On a another historical day for the Reinhardt Flag Football team with hosting its first ever home game. They were matched-up against the St. Thomas Bobcats on Saturday morning, March 11th. St. Thomas is beginning its 3rd season and has a lot of experience on their roster and it showed. The Bobcats scored in their opening drive and the momentum carried throughout the rest of the game, resulting in a 49-0 win over the Eagles. As a young, all-freshman team, the Eagles look to work hard create cohesion as they carry forward in the rest of their season. Reinhardt's Dechea Branham completed 9 passes for 87 yards. Dechea Branham also rushed for 31 yards, while Adriana Brustmeyer rushed for 25 total yards. Nina Johnson received 2 passes for 41 yards. Defensively, there were 6 different players that recorded 2 tackles. Next up for the Eagles, they will be traveling to Campbellsville to play Thomas University on Tuesday, March 14th, at 3:30pm. Then, the same day, the Eagles will be playing Warner University at 3:30pm.
