Reinhardt Dismantles Tigers on Both Sides of the Ball, 28-0

Â
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. â"Â Billy Hall and Montralius Mosely each found the end zone twice on the ground, while the Eagle defense flexed its muscles all day against Campbellsville in a 28-0 shutout on the road against the Tigers in Kentucky.
Â
Hall finished with 104 yards rushing and another 89 through the air as Reinhardt moved to 3-0 on the season after accumulating 376 yards â" including 287 on the ground â" for a 5.7-yard average.
Â
"Defensively, to get a shutout at any level of college football is outstanding," head coach James Miller said. "I thought those guys played hard and did a great job on third down not letting them convert a single one (and 0-for-2) on fourth down. Really proud of our kids and our defensive staff. We have had some injuries on that side of the ball, and the kids as a collective group stepped up.
Â
On offense, we did a good job creating big plays in the passing game and I thought Trevae Cain (55 yards rushing and 47 receiving) played a great game. We have to clean up penalties and execution in certain moments, but I'm excited for where this team is headed."
Â
The Reinhardt signal caller got the scoring started at the 5:50 mark of the first quarter with a 17-yard gallop into the paint. About 10 minutes later, Mosely plowed his way into the end zone for a 14-0 advantage from a yard away.
Â
The offense brought more fireworks just before halftime as Hall raced past the defense from 74 yards out for a three-score lead heading into the locker room. The Eagle momentum on the offensive end carried into the third quarter as Mosely's number was called again and he delivered; this time from 17 yards out for the final points of the afternoon.
Â
The Eagles scored on drives of 80, 86, 82 and 83 yards in the win.
Â
On defense, five different Reinhardt players recorded sacks and the team was led individually by Sebastian LeGarra and his seven total stops.
Â
Both Sidney Hamm and Miles Corpening registered interceptions in the blanking.
Â
The second of four-straight road games is next up on the schedule with a trip to West Palm Beach, Fla., and Keiser (Fla.) at 12:30 p.m.
