Evans Nichols is in his 3^rd season as head men’s and women’s coach with Reinhardt Golf, his 10^th year overall with the school, after he was a player on the men’s team for five seasons, a graduate assistant for one year, and assistant coach for one year.

During Nichols' first year leading the men’s golf program at Reinhardt, the team was very successful. For the first time in program history, the men’s team earned an “at-large” bid to the NAIA National Championships at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., where the team finished the season ranked 22^nd in the nation. Pacing the squad during the tournament was Hunter Clay, who finished in fifth place and earned All-Tournament accolades. During his second year, the men’s team got its first team victory since Spring 2018 in the Skyhawk Inv. at Callaway Gardens. The men’s team followed up their win at Callaway Gardens finishing 1^st at the AAC Conference Championship, which earned an automatic bid to the 2022 NAIA Men’s Golf Championship. Along with the men’s conference championship victory and Nichols’ 2022 Coach of the Year Award, the team also finished as the AAC regular-season champions. The men’s team is currently 15^th in the country after the final NAIA Coach’s Poll Rankings and is looking to finish off the post-season with a red banner.
