Bio

Kellen Shervington is entering his ninth year at Reinhardt as an athletic trainer, but this will be his 1st year as the Head Athletic Trainer.

For the last 2 years, he worked for Peachtree Orthopedics as a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Coordinator. He was tasked with maintaining stock/inventory of DME, coordinating and arranging medically necessary equipment for patients, facilitating custom bracing and equipment for patients, and educating patients education for all stock and custom DME items.

Shervington first came to Reinhardt, in 2012 to become the Head Football Athletic Trainer when the Football program started. He served in that role until the end of the 2019 season, along with being the primary Athletic Trainer for the golf teams. In 2020, Shervington worked with the softball and soccer teams. 

Previously, he was an assistant athletic trainer at Bethune-Cookman University from 2010-12, where he was responsible for the care of the men’s basketball team and the Wildcats football team for a year. 
 
Shervington graduated from Florida State University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and earned his Master’s degree in Wellness and Exercises Physiology from the University of Central Florida in 2010.

While at UCF, he was responsible for the women’s rowing team. 
 
Shervington is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and is licensed in the state of Georgia. He is also certified in CPR/AED/First Aid and SASTM.
 
The Orlando, Fla., native and his wife, Jasmine, live in Acworth with their four children Karmen (12), Kara (10), Jeremiah (7), and Kiara (2).
