Bio

Mindy Ruiz is native to Chickamauga, GA, and has been a certified athletic trainer since 2009. Prior to receiving her bachelor's degree in sports medicine, she attended Andrew College on a softball scholarship. Mindy transferred to Georgia Southern University where she double majored in exercise science and sports medicine. After undergrad, she attended Columbus State University for her Masters in health and physical education while simultaneously working as a Hughston Athletic Training Fellow providing athletic training coverage for Spencer High School as well as various other state and college sporting events. After graduating from CSU in 2011, Mindy was the athletic trainer for Dodge and Telfair high schools and eventually Vidalia High School where she stayed for 6yrs. Mindy also worked with Brewton-Parker College as an assistant athletic trainer where she rose through the ranks within the conference becoming the chairman of the NAIA SSAC athletic trainer board, the NAIA athletic training board secretary, and the women in sports liaison for BPC within her first year. Mindy comes from Bacon County high school after three seasons. 
 
Mindy is a BOC NATA certified Athletic Trainer and holds licensure for Georgia. Mindy is certified in Hawksgrip Dry Needling and Impact Concussion Trained AT. 
 
Mindy is excited to become part of the RU family and all that they strive for.  She looks forward to developing lifelong relationships and impacts with everyone she meets while providing quality healthcare. 
 
Mindy is the wife of Reinhardt's Head Men's Soccer Coach, Frankie Ruiz. They have three children; Jaxson, Beckham, and Addy Kate. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family, traveling, frequenting the gym, and overall enjoying all of what life offers.
