Bio

Davis May will begin his first season as the teams assistant pitching coach and bench coach.

Coach May has extensive experience in both playing and coaching. Davis played two years of baseball at Gulf Coast State College and two years at Auburn University. During his junior season he earned All-SEC honors. After college, Coach May was drafted in the 24th round by the Minnesota Twins and from there he played professional baseball with the Cincinnati Reds, Toronto Blue Jays and Minnesota Twins. He set a Southern League record for most consecutive scoreless innings (27) while also starting in the Southern League All Star Game.

Coach May will bring experience and most importantly continuity to an area that can assist me in helping us develop our program more. We are excited to have Davis and his wife Julie join our family.”

After his playing career concluded, Coach May coached at Auburn University and with the Cleveland Indians. After those coaching stints, Davis started coaching for East Cobb Baseball where he stayed for 18 years. During that time, he coached 4 national championship teams adding to his extensive experience as a coach. In addition, Davis was employed by Roswell High School for 10 years as their pitching coach and is currently the Head Coach for the Waleska Wild Things in the Sunbelt Collegiate Baseball League.
